Last year, the Kentucky Dressage Association introduced a 5K run to raise money for the Markey Cancer Center. My dog and I ran it last year and I was happy to find out this year that it would be an annual event. This year’s race was held at the Kentucky Horse Park just before the Saturday evening Grand Prix Musical Freestyle. While my post-race routine is usually to have a nap or go find the nearest pizza, this time I stuck around and watched some dressage. I think my dog would have rather had a pizza, but I enjoyed it.
